Oooh, did you feel the chill in the air this morning? I know this summer hasn’t really delivered on it’s seasonal job (you know – sun, warmth, clear blue skies, not much to ask!) but it’s the first time since March I’ve had to wear my fluffy socks when I got out of bed.
The autumnal chill in the air, seeing the first leaves falling to the ground as I walked to work really did make me, for the first time, feel ready for the change in season. Don’t get me wrong, I really don’t want to say goodbye to the long days of summer but part of me is yearning for an excuse to wear a chunky knit scarf and wear head to toe autumnal colours.
So our inevitable slide into shorter days inspired me to put a little Autumn Wedding Inspo blog together. Orange, green and berry colours, summoning up the smell of wood fires and romancing over twinkling candle light. It might be a cliche but the sentimental part in all of us wants Autumn to be filled with burnt colours, fading day light and the smell of the approach of winter in the air.
So, if you are planning an Autumn wedding I hope you can take some inspiration…..
Welcome cocktails filled with cinnamon, apple and rum. Wedding décor that puts you in no doubt that it’s autumn.
Soft wedding styling for hair and flowers. Cakes simply dressed with fruits and flowers that reflect the colours in nature.
The short days allow for fire light and sparklers and fireworks we don’t have to wait until midnight to see.
This blog has inspired me so much I’m going to dash out and buy myself a hot chocolate and any Danish pastry that contains a ton of cinnamon!
