Our Terracotta Wedding Mood Board Inspo
This week Lisa made a gorgeous terracotta inspired wedding board on our Pinterest page and I loved it so much I thought I’d put together some inspo with 3 of our wedding dresses from the Cicily Bridal collections.
I’m always surprised at how different colours make me feel and the depths and range within the palette or spectrum. When we say “terracotta” immediately our minds turn to that rusty orange colour of plant pots or the dry earth at hot holiday destinations. The colour terracotta never makes you feel down. It always makes you feel nostalgic, bringing to mind memories of warm weather, exotic smells and sounds from travels abroad.
Within that simple colour there are a range of colours starting at the deepest of orange, almost brown and finishing at the palest of peach that work beautifully within it.
For the first mood board I’ve gone with the paler end of the terracotta palette, the peachy, blush tones. I styled this mood board with our Ariane wedding dress from Anna Kara which is soft and romantic with layers of texture and subtle peach tones.

For our second wedding mood board I wanted to style our Willowby by Watters Lainie wedding dress with the more rustic tones of terracotta. Earthy and matt boho tones that work perfectly with modern styling.
Wedding Mood Board #2
Our last wedding mood board takes all of the tones but puts a cleaner edge to them. Simpler lines, geometric shapes and a deeper sense of place. I’ve styled this board with our Charlie Brear Nyika wedding dress.

This is just scratching the surface of this warm and rich colour palette. The colours that will carry weddings from summer through to autumn.
