‘NATIONAL WEDDING SHOW, NEC, BIRMINGHAM (must go!)’
Yes, the wedding fair season has begun and the headliner event is only a few days away!
Now, if you have never visited the marvel of the NEC for the National Wedding Show before let us set the scene. Cicily Bridal has exhibited at the show every year since we opened the boutique 5 years ago. So what we don’t know about the show probably isn’t worth knowing.
You can feel the excitement and anticipation of the intrepid brides and their entourage building as they make their way to the National Wedding Show hall. Thousands of brides, grooms, bridesmaids and mothers-of-the-bride all wearing comfy shoes in readiness for their 7 hours of wedding planning. Will the brides find their dream dress? Will the bride and groom find the photographer who understands their vision for their day? Will a florist or cake designer take their breath away with their wonderful designs?
When the time comes to walk through the gate and enter the hall they are not disappointed! The sight their eyes are trying to behold is wedding planning heaven all under one huge roof. Gorgeous stands from left-to-right, front-to-back, all leading to a catwalk that promises to host a show of bridal fashion to #inspire! Seminars from wedding world experts, a VIP lounge, a champagne bar – pretty much all you need to make your wedding day absolutely #fabulous.
It is fair to say that it is the wedding event of all events and we love being there, from meeting new brides and welcoming them into our Cicily Bridal world to planning the decor of our stand (which we get slightly over excited about). We feel it’s so important to try to create a little bit of the magic of our boutique in Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire and sprinkle it over the 4m x 2m stand in Birmingham! It’s difficult and a huge task but we accomplish it with style every year. Our past prettiness has ranged from quirky vintage to ribbons and butterflies and to paper flower sculptures. Not forgetting chandeliers, a photo gallery wall to simple retro style. Yes, it’s amazing what you can achieve with passion, creativity and very hard work (and 8 hours!).
So to see what we’ve created this year we’ll be at stand F18 with gorgeousness waiting for you from Charlie Brear, Kate Halfpenny, Naomi Neoh and Jesus Peiro.
